Intro

Oracle Fusion Companion is a new capability that Oracle announced at Oracle AI World in Las Vegas on October 26, 2026, for Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications (its ERP, HCM, SCM and CX suite). It launched together with Oracle Fusion Agentic Home.

Oracle describes Fusion Companion as an intelligent layer for Fusion Applications: employees state a business objective, and it works out the intent and automatically selects and coordinates the transactions, workflows, approvals, AI agents and agentic applications needed to get it done. Users no longer need to know which application to open, which transaction to run or which agent to use, and enterprise security, permissions and controls still apply.

These capabilities are available through supported AI tools such as ChatGPT or through Fusion Agentic Home, the native AI experience inside Fusion Applications.

Explain

What Fusion Companion does

  • Simplifies enterprise work: identifies the agents, applications and business processes needed for a request
  • Accelerates execution: coordinates specialized AI agents, business processes and Fusion Agentic Applications, including Fusion Claw-powered apps for deep analysis, planning, simulation, optimization and long-running execution over large volumes of enterprise data
  • Flexible entry points: work with Fusion through ChatGPT and customer- or partner-built AI interfaces while keeping business context
  • Connects systems: coordinates Fusion, other cloud apps, enterprise content, data platforms, APIs, services and third-party agents
  • Security and accountability: executes AI-driven work within existing identity, permissions, policies and approval controls, keeping execution and accountability inside Fusion

Fusion Agentic Home

A personalized, AI-native experience powered by Fusion Companion:

  • Users express objectives and the right work is identified and executed automatically
  • Brings together the information, agents, agentic apps and processes needed
  • Resolves business exceptions: finds root causes, determines corrective actions, executes authorized fixes and escalates decisions that need human judgment
  • Governed delegation: hands work to Fusion AI agents that run inside enterprise permissions, policies and approvals

"AI is changing where enterprise work begins, but organizations need to maintain control over how that work gets done," said Chris Leone, EVP of Applications Development at Oracle.

Usage

How to use it

  • Who: organizations already running Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications (ERP, HCM, SCM, CX)
  • Entry point 1: in a supported AI tool such as ChatGPT, describe the goal in natural language and Fusion Companion orchestrates Fusion processes and agents
  • Entry point 2: open Fusion Agentic Home inside Fusion Applications to delegate work and track it to completion
  • Extend it: customers and partners can build, extend and manage agents and agentic apps with Oracle AI Agent Studio for Fusion Applications

Notes

  • The announcement says organizations "will be able to" use these features; check Oracle documentation or your account team for availability, versions and licensing
  • Everything runs inside your existing identity and permission model, and decisions needing human judgment are escalated
