Intro

AgentKit by Scalekit is an MCP gateway for production AI agents from identity-infrastructure company Scalekit. It launched on Product Hunt on 2026-11-03 and won #1 Product of the Day.

Core idea: every tool call executes as the user who asked, within the scopes they granted — not via a shared service account with org-wide access.

Key capabilities:

  • 600+ connectors, 30,000+ tools (Salesforce, Gmail, Slack, Notion, HubSpot, Jira, GitHub…), with LLM-optimized tool schemas;
  • Managed auth: per-tenant AES-256 token vault, auto-refresh, tokens never touch code, logs or prompts;
  • Virtual MCP Servers: compose a per-role tool subset behind one static MCP URL;
  • Custom connectors (OAuth 2.0, API key, bearer, RSA, basic) and remote MCP servers;
  • Triggers, retries/rate limits, and full audit logs streamable to Datadog/Splunk.

To distinguish it from OpenAI's similarly named AgentKit, this entry is titled "Scalekit AgentKit".

Explain

What problem it solves

When agents act for your customers inside their CRM, inbox and calendar, you face:

  1. Thousands of OAuth grants (40 customers × 30 reps × 4 apps = 4,800 connected accounts) to store in isolation and refresh;
  2. Correct identity: the agent should see only what that user can see;
  3. Context bloat: four apps expose 100+ tool definitions (~20k tokens), degrading tool selection;
  4. Internal APIs without connectors;
  5. Auditability: was it the rep or the agent?

Approach

AgentKit centralizes auth, permissions, tool catalog and logging in the gateway. Virtual MCP Servers expose ~10 tools per role (~2k tokens) — Scalekit claims ~80% less tool overhead — and the gateway enforces access instead of relying on prompt instructions.

Compliance & deployment

SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001; Enterprise adds HIPAA BAA, bring-your-own-key (AWS/GCP KMS), VPC/self-hosted deployment, US/EU data residency and IP allowlisting.

Usage

Who it's for

  • B2B teams building agents that act on behalf of customers;
  • Platform groups needing multi-tenant OAuth, least privilege and audit;
  • Developers on MCP clients (Claude, Cursor, Windsurf) who want many SaaS tools fast.

Getting started

  1. Run npx @scalekit-inc/cli setup;
  2. Enable connectors in the dashboard and let users connect accounts via auth links;
  3. Create a Virtual MCP Server per agent role with the tools it needs;
  4. Mint a short-lived session token per user per run and hand the MCP URL to your agent framework;
  5. Stream logs to Datadog/Splunk for audit.

Pricing

Free: 10k tool calls + 10k trigger events/month; Growth: $99/month (100k calls, 50k events), overage $0.50 per 1k calls; Enterprise custom.
